The single most important aspect to understand is that as a grease trap fills, its separation efficiency diminishes. When a grease trap is full to capacity with retained grease or oils; there is no grease/oil separation occurring in the flow system. This is what leads to considerable amounts of grease to flow into municipal systems.
Biocope stops grease buildup and thus reduces maintenance, inhibits corrosion by reducing H2S, and eliminating rancid grease odors. Biocope controls odors, reduces solids and lowers BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and TSS (Total Suspended Solids). In anaerobic digesters it increases methane production.
